The Westcoast is known for having it's own eclectic fashion; for example the Cholo style that the Mexican community developed even before Hip-Hop existed. This very characteristic style was in fact so appealing, that the African-American community picked it up and made it their own. An example of the Cholo style can be seen in the movie Colors and from the legendary Mexican-American rapper Kid Frost.
Another feature of Westcoast flavor which we adopt into our t-shirt designs is the Old English font, or Blackletter fonts that are used on many classic designs like the Compton logo which appears caps and t-shirts etc. We have also used it on our popular "Bompton" sweatshirt which is a replica of a sweatshirt worn by Suge Knight. Other uses are found on "Los Angeles", "Westside", "Picture My Rollin", and "Westside Connection".
Perhaps the most popular design incorporating black letter is the "San Andreas | Grove Street 4 Life" products inspired by Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Another bestseller is the "Gin & Juice" design which uses the "vintage bootleg" look. It's embodies the West Coast perfectly with it's bright color palette and refreshing "taste".
For fans of Eazy-E and N.W.A. we have the "Boyz-N-The-Hood" products which use the same fonts used on Eazy's covers for Eazy-Duz-It and Straight off tha streetz of Muthaphukkin’ Compton. Staying in the same realm we also have "The Chronic" which uses the font from the famous rolling papers, which also appears on Dr. Dre's album cover. Blaze it up!
You've heard of G-Funk, right? The gangsta rap genre made famous the aforementioned Dr. Dre and a handful of others. Well, then you should also know about P-Funk, which is the original music from the '70s which was main source of sampling for G-Funk. Perhaps the most iconic P-Funk album is Mothership Connection by the group Parliament. We payed homage to that album with our "G-Funk | Westside Connection" album which is a take on the original album cover. We just replaced the space ship with a classic low rider vehicle. The font's used are the same. Another classic.
